Living With Generation Z

Why do kids' shows and movies these days suck so badly? I mean whatever happened to shows like "Avatar", "Kim Possible", "Danny Phantom" and "American Dragon"? They all actually had continuous plots and characters that actually had changes in their habits, knowledge and alliances. Even "Phil of the Future" wasn't so bad for those reasons. These shows also ended climatically with events that wouldn't allow them to continue blindly for endless seasons. The best by far has to be "Avatar". It actually had a story and a point to which that story was continually heading towards and the show ended with almost everything wrapped up (except for Zuko's mom). Why can't there be shows like that anymore! The movies aren't much better, especially since they're mostly repeats from books or movies that everyones' already read or seen a million times over. I mean can't they make a decent kids' movies without copying from something that is way over done? Why can't disney continue to make movies like "Atlantis" and "Brother Bear"? Those movies were very original and, in my opinion, very well done. I don't know, I really miss the media from my childhood. What about you guys, my non-exsistant followers; what do you think?

I remember once, last year, we were covering Martin Luther King Jr's "I Have a Dream" speech and we had to fill out a worksheet about it and this one girl in my group had it in her head that Martin Luther King Jr was trying to free the slaves. She seemed to have the Civil War and the Civil Rights Movement hopeless confused. I'm not terribly sure how she got those ideas so mixed up. Oh well, guess that's what one has to deal with when associating with their fellow public school classmates.

We started taking our final exams today :-p. They sucked. We even had to take a written final in gym. I don't really see the point in that. I mean what if you are the most athletic person in your class, but you don't rememeber any of the boring info?! Why would you get your grade lowered over that. It's really stupid. Sorry about not writing for like two weeks.

Uhhhhhh! I don't know how much longer I can stand my classmates! At least summer is almost here. Today like three of the girls in my american history class had to have the teacher clarify what "propaganda" was. I can get one kid not knowing, but three! They are just so ignorant of what is going on in the world. I wonder when the last time they watched the news was. They also think that all the answers in life will be given to them and that they will never have to put any effort into succeding. In the same class as I was talking about before, this happened: This girl Brianna asked the teacher if our homework would be graded and then she turned around to her friends and (within earshot of the teacher) she told her friends that she only does homework if it is going to be graded. Neadless to say, the teacher did not tell her whether or not it would be graded. Geez, I really hate my classmates. What kind of annoying and stupid things have your classmates said or done? Please comment.

Hi, my name's Sabrina! But my friends all call me Bri so you can too. Basically my blog is about dealing with (and venting about) the supidity of my generation (generation z) and about growing up in the world that us "generation z'ers" have been thrust into. For those of you that don't know, generation z is basically the name for all the kids (and young adults) born in the 1990's. These are the people that are currently in middle school, high school and their first years of college. I myself was born in the middle of the generation z time period (1996) and I am currently in a freshman in highschool (though school's almost out, yes!). I personally think that my generation is spending way too much time surfing the web and focusing on brand name clothes (ect.), when they should be out in the world learning (and no, I don't mean in school (because the public school system sucks)) and not nearly enough us read anything let alone books of literary merit (and no, twilight does not count). I hope this is enough for you to see what I'm all about.
